On 29thSeptember the eights conference “Blockchain@HTW” will take as an online event. This time we want to explore how a developing country can frog leap some phases / levels while implementing Blockchain / DLT. A country like Ethiopia can benefit from the application of diverse, and not only Blockchain Technology. To understand the opportunities as well as the challenges we will welcome internationally renowned speakers who will share their latest insights with us. Topics like Finance, Law and Regulation, Education, Renewable Energy and of course Business Use Cases will be introduced. We the organizers of this event are very excited and we hope you be too.

The Hochschule für Technik and Wirtschaft (HTW) Berlin and the Adama Science and Technology University (ASTU) are delighted to invite you to an exciting online conference on the importance of technology for emerging countries, especially for Ethiopia. The mayor of the city Adama, Mr Haile Jalde, sets out to shape the city of Adama as one of the first digital cities in the country. Ideas, visions and experience is welcomed to share. The focus of the conference is on Blockchain, DLT, Trust Technologies, Decentralized Technologies, Web3 while considering Green Energy (Hydrogen Energy, Solar Energy etc.).The aim of this conference which, will be held predominantly in specific break out and network sessions, is to connect Ethiopian decision maker and Government Representatives with experts from tech, industries, economists, scientists, and the legal profession to foster an understanding of how technology can support and facilitate solution for Ethiopia. The importance of technology and the need to overcome existing prejudices are undisputed but so is the need for a reflective and judicious use of technology. Breaking down silos and highlighting the interconnectedness between issues and disciplines will help Ethiopian stakeholders in their decision-making and experts in the targeted development of solutions.
