THOMAS DÜNSER __is the Director of the OFFICE FOR FINANCIAL MARKET INNOVATION AND DIGITALISATION (SFID) OF THE PRINCIPALITY OF LIECHTENSTEIN. The SFID is in charge of the Liechtenstein Innovation
Framework, a governmental measure to foster innovation in the financial
market and the national implementation of European digital programs and
legal acts. He is the spiritus rector of the Liechtenstein Blockchain
regulation and was responsible for developing and implementing the TVTG.
In his prior position as a senior advisor to the Prime Minister, he was
also leading a project to create transparency about all state tasks and
services to increase efficiency and effectiveness. In this capacity, he
was also involved in the digital agenda, the eGovernment strategy, and
several digitalization projects. Before his engagement with the
Principality of Liechtenstein, he worked in leading positions in
Industry, Banking, and Consulting. He is regularly publishing and
speaking about blockchain, innovation, and regulation. His latest book is
“Stable Money – What we can learn from Bitcoin, Libra, and Co.”.
