
Enyadene Lemi Guta

Enyadene Lemi Guta has a solid academic foundation in mathematics. After receiving a Diploma from Bahir-Dar Teachers’ College of Addis Ababa University in 1987, he earned a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Mathematics from Addis Ababa University. He later pursued a PhD at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, focusing on Wave-Porous Structure Interaction.
In terms of professional experience, Enyadene taught in senior secondary schools in Ethiopia for ten years. He then transitioned to administrative roles in the Zonal education department of West Hararghe Zone, holding positions as a Statistics Officer, head of regular education programs, and head of the Zonal education department. Later, he joined the faculty at Jimma University and Adama Science and Technology University (ASTU) as a lecturer in mathematics. At ASTU, he assumed roles such as Academic Vice Dean, Vice President for Research and Technology Transfer, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and is currently the President.
Outside of his primary roles, Enyadene has been involved in various boards and committees across Ethiopia. Notably, he chaired the Advisor Board of the Family Guidance Association of Ethiopia, participated in the Executive Board of the Ethiopian Space Science Society, and held positions in the Oromia COC agency, ODA Adama boarding school, and the Ethiopian Public Universities Association.
