
Armoogum Sandhya

Sandhya Armoogum is an Associate Professor at the University of Technology Mauritius. Over the years, she has held various roles at the institution, including Senior Lecturer and Head of Department. She started her academic career in 2003, also teaching part-time at the University of Mauritius and C-DAC School of Advanced Computing. Sandhya completed her Ph.D. in Computer Science at the University of Technology Mauritius in 2014, researching mobile agent code confidentiality. She also holds a MSc in Internet Computing from the University of Surrey and a BEng in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Mauritius. Sandhya has contributed to numerous conference publications, journal articles, and book chapters. Her research interests include AI applications for agriculture and addressing gender disparities in ICT. She has also obtained certifications in blockchain technologies, digital forensics, and AI. Presently, she is supervising three Ph.D. candidates in technology-related fields.
